Get to Know Sybil
I received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida in 1997. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom during my children's formative years and returned to college when my youngest child was in high school. I have taken post graduate courses from UNF, NCSU and Liberty University.
I have personal experience with all of the stresses and rewards involved in relocating, having lived in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida, prior to relocating to Williamsburg, Virginia.
I specialize in waterfront and investment property. I have listed and sold numerous waterfront and investement properties during my real estate career. My husband and I have lived in waterfront homes since 1998, experiencing the joys and challenges of living on the water.
My husband and I currently own investment property. These life experiences help me to better understand some of the unique details and problems that may come up when buying or selling waterfront or investment property. Some waterfront properties are in environmentally sensitive areas. Because I have dealt with environmental officials and zoning boards regarding waterfront property you can be confident that I will guide you through every step of the transaction.
I have studied real estate investment and have worked with other real estate investors. My experience with the 1031 tax deferred exchange began during my first year in real estate. The 1031 Tax-deferred exchange offers a great tax advantage to real estate investors, by allowing them to defer the capital gains taxes that are typically charged upon the sale of a property.
In addition to the continuing education required of all licensees,I have studied property appraisal. I have special training in relocation. I also have earned the Accredited Buyer Representative designation as well as the Senior Real Estate Specialist designation. l have also served on the board of directors for a homeowners association in a waterfront neighborhood.
Now that you know a little bit about my experience and qualifications, you might want to know what I do besides real estate.
My greatest joys come from the time spent with family and friends. We have three adult children and four grandchildren. I am also active in the choir, small group ministries, Sunday School and Bible studies at the Williamsburg Community Chapel.
